Illustrated Example of Why Piracy Happens: Game of Thrones Edition

I have blogged before about what drives honest media consumers to piracy–lack of availability. For most people, it’s not the cost, and it’s not the thrill of getting away with something that lead them to piracy. It’s not being able to get what they want on the terms they want. This comic is a perfect example of that dynamic. Go read it. Read it for the epithet at the end.

  1. Oh my gosh, I sooo agree!! My hubs and I don’t have HBO so we watched the first season on DVD together and then immediately preordered season 2 on Amazon. There.still.is.no.expected.release.date. We get an email from Amazon every month rubbing it in our face. They should have an online option, I don’t get it! Love the Oatmeal.
